Dr. Sara Hanahan, DMD
Dr. Sara Hanahan joined Humbert Road Dentistry in 2017, and become partners with Dr. Moody in January 2019.
She is an Alton native, graduating from Marquette Catholic High School and receiving her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. There she served as Secretary of the American Association of Women Dentists and was a member of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Hanahan was elected as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upson Honorary Dental Society. She has received awards from the American College of Prosthodontics for her work and is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Madison County Dental Society.
Dr. Hanahan is passionate about overall health and is constantly learning through Continuing Education. She takes the time to help her patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, and works together with them to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile. She loves the variety her job brings, especially enjoying cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Hanahan lives in Godfrey with her husband, Scott Yanta, where they participate in many local organizations. She loves seeing Alton’s unique, locally owned businesses flourish. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to visit family and friends and being outdoors with her chocolate lab, Lucy. She also loves cooking, staying active, and helping her husband rehab homes.

Dr. Stacy Cain Moody, DMD
Dr. Moody is a graduate of Edwardsville High School. She then received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from Baylor University. In 2004, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree (D.M.D.) from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. She is an eight year veteran of both the Illinois and Alaska Army National Guards. In the past, she has worked with various mobile dental units to provide care to school aged children in underserved areas and continues to give dental health presentations in local schools. Dr. Moody also previously served as an adjunct clinical faculty member at Lewis and Clark Community College and worked with their mobile unit.
She resides in Edwardsville with her husband, Doug, their three daughters, and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Newman. As a mother of three, Dr. Moody stays busy with her girls’ many activities. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, traveling, reading, and biking on area trails.
Dr. Moody is passionate about providing quality dental care, educating patients on the importance of great oral health, and treating her patients as family. She purchased Humbert Road Dentistry with Dr. Hanahan in 2019, and they are so excited for the opportunity to practice hometown dentistry in the Riverbend Area.
